About Lesson

Watch the following videos and try to summarise information about the environmental aspects of sustainable mobility.

The video contains the following social dilemma: “The social dilemma perspective views this trend as the outcome of an unfortunate habit that prioritizes short-term gains by car drivers over long-term losses for whole society.”

Try to think about this dilemma and discuss it with your colleagues on Discord. Here are some other possible questions for discussion:

  • Is this social dilemma related to the specifics of consumer society?
  • Is this trend “short-term gains by car drivers” sustainable?
  • What should we do to stop this trend?
  • Can I contribute? And how?

Take a look at the infographics below.

The infographics present how many hours a car driver spends in traffic jams in a given city per year, or how many hours a car driver is delayed per year due to traffic jams. Cities are ranked from worst to best.
