Passive solar windows are designed to increase energy efficiency by minimizing heat loss and gain. 4. The roof of a passive solar building is crucial in maximizing solar gain and energy efficiency. 5. Photovoltaic devices convert solar radiation into electricity and are a popular form of renewable energy. Solar energy is a clean and renewable energy source that generates electricity from sunlight. 6. There are three types of solar power systems: on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid. Building heating, water supply, sewege, rain water harvesting systems. These engineering systems could be design into the projects. Also snow and ice melting, renewable energy sources and other decisions for buildings.

Renewable energy sources

The renewable energy sources could be used to produce energy for buildings and other purposes. Almost ‘zero‘ or low-energy-consumption buildings produces as much renewable energy as them consumes. 

A few types of renewable energy sources could be design: solar energy, wind, hybrid systems and other resources.
