About Lesson
Regular physical activity is a key protective factor for the prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), such as cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, and several cancers. Physical activity also benefits mental health, including prevention of cognitive decline and symptoms of depression and anxiety; and can contribute to healthy weight maintenance and overall well-being. Global estimates indicate that 27.5% of adults and 81% of adolescents do not meet the 2010 WHO recommendations for physical activity, with almost no improvement seen over the past decade. This lesson will introduce some of this topics and reflections about physical activity. For the consolidation of learning you can access by clicking here.
